Our people and equipment can take your product idea from concept to commercialization.
SCF’s laboratories are equipped to synthesize surfactants and functional polymers, formulate for wide-ranging applications, and test and evaluate products in the industries where SCF is active. In 2017 Surface Chemists completed an expansion of their lab and pilot development center, more than doubling the size of their existing headquarters. The new laboratories are equipped with the latest in analytical and application specific testing instrumentation, and include a dedicated Class-2 microbiology lab. The facility also includes a pilot scale technology development center, capable of facilitating process and product development in real world applications.

Our chemists, microbiologists and process engineers have strong backgrounds of applied scientific experience in a variety of industries. This cross-disciplined foundation of knowledge, expertise and functional logic allows us to provide our customers with fast, effective solutions.
SCF’s scientists are experienced in a broad range of technologies, and are adept at solving problems by using materials, processes, and techniques from a variety of sources which would often be unknown to researchers working in a single technology or discipline.
